Are you talking powerfully enough to your target market?
I’ve recently been looking at nursery schools for my daughter in the new year and spoke to Asquith Nursery on Friday.
Impressively enough we recieved an envelope in the post this morning with their glossy brochure inside. The design was fantastic, the pack was impressive, but do you know what stood out the most? The fact that it was addressed to my daughter. This achieved two ends: there was an enormous amount of excitement that Ellie had recieved mail, but most of all they’d understood the fact that if they addressed it to Ellie I couldn’t just brush the pack aside and forget about it. I had to talk to Ellie about what was in it – and children seem to have incredibly long memories – she’d probably nag me for much longer than any tenacious salesperson would!
What I think Asquith have understood well is the fact that selecting a nursery is about the child as much as the parents. They displayed their understanding and passion for children at this very early stage and this should really have an impact on the success of their marketing.
I’d love to hear your experiences. Have you heard of anything similar?
