Brand Identity for Hawthorn Handmade: The concepts

By Caroline Dann, 26th Feb 2013

Remember when we posted about Hawthorn Handmade the other week?  Stephanie is a fibre artist whose new business Hawthorn Handmade, specialises in making needle felting craft kits – you can catch up on our previous post about Stephanie’s business or find out a little more about her and her work here.

Following our meeting we got straight to work on a vision board and we all adore the result! A Summer meets Autumn tone with muted colours and a style that gently taps into ‘cool vintage’ and the art of crafting. Fonts are quirky, backgrounds are textured and patterns deliciously tactile. Stephanie was keen to have a little American twist to the brand style so we’ve honoured this but brought it back home with the quintessentially British pheasant.

Which one will Stephanie go for? We’ll be posting the results and other juicy brand design over the next few weeks :-)

Ooh I really love the mood board – its vintage but fresh and the ‘American’ accent really shows through in your designs and makes it stand out. It feels like it could really stand the test of time too. . . Stephanie has a really tough decision as both concepts are really good.

    • Thanks Melanie. I love this board too and the colours are my idea of heaven! We’re really looking forward to seeing which one Stephanie goes for. Thanks for your comments :-)
