Brand New Customers Only…

Why is it that most companies seem incapable of rewarding loyalty? Insurance companies, (until recently) mortgage lenders, they all seem to offer big discounts to reel you in, and then hike up the prices once you're in.

I recently had a renewal come through for our RAC membership – £40 up on last year. Clearly we were disappointed. But even more surprised when my husband received a mailing the very next day inviting him to join the RAC for £10 less than we paid last year. Why??? Makes me think of that Nationwide advert "Brand new customers only I'm afraid…".
Why not reward your loyal customers as well as chasing after new ones? This year (as we do every year) we're sending our lovely customers a very special offer for our new marketing services. And it'll only be available to existing customers. Now that's got to be better than rewarding promiscuity!
