Well it certainly makes sense to.
You always need to put your VAT number on your invoices, so if you're using your letterheads to invoice your clients then I'd recommend it. Bear in mind that this information doesn't need to be huge, as long as it's on there. We normally put it unobtrusively at the bottom along with the registered company details and company number.
