five months out of it – hasn’t technology moved on!

At the risk of sounding like my mother… it's starting to dawn on me how quickly the world of social networking has moved on since I started my maternity leave in August 2008. Since then the world seems to have gone twitter (where was that in August 2008? Not on most people's radars surely?)/ linkedin/ facebook (for business I might add) crazy!
I am starting to drop my resistance to maintaining facebook for friends and family only, and consider the benefits of using it for business. And you'll also find me on twitter, linkedin, UKBusinessforums, the Women's Marketing Forum and Ecademy. The question is… if I spend all my time updating these things, when am I going to find the time to do my real job? The temptation is to just back away from it all and stick to talking to real people. But I sense the world has moved on…
