Big Brother winner and media darling Nadia Almada breezed into our studio several months ago, all high fashion and larger than life. She was setting up a fashion accessories business and needed someone to create her a logo and website: were we interested? Well we didn’t need asking twice! And so we started to put things into place to create a brand identity for Nadia’s new business: Ya Mutto.
I’ve not been allowed to tell you about this for the last couple of months so I’m so pleased that I can finally spill the beans!
Ya Mutto is a fashion accessories business for fabulous people. Nadia will start with a jewellery line but plans to expand the business into belts, fragrance and other complimentary accessories. In between Big Brother’s Little Brother appearances (amongst others) Nadia is busy behind the scenes getting her collection ready to launch in the Autumn. Something tells me she’s going to be a little busy over the next six weeks so the plan is to put together a website that gives a little information on Nadia and Ya Mutto, and we’ll launch the full site in the Autumn/ Winter as soon as we’ve shot the collection.
Anyway… back to the logos. Nadia’s brief was that we create a logo with strength, style and fabulousness. As you’d expect of someone that made their name in reality TV, this is going to be a fashion accessories range for the people: so we’re not talking designer prices, more mid range prices with striking designs. The Ya Mutto customer is, in Nadia’s words, a strong woman who is fabulous.
Concept One
Very strong and not too feminine (as the brand will appeal to both) this logo would look fabulous on a belt clasp as well as all the usual stationery, websites etc.
Concept Two
Nadia loved the double t’s of this concept and the strong, fresh funky look.
Concept Three
A more classic take on strong, stylish and upmarket.
The finished logo
Nadia went for Option Two with a few tweaks. She just adored the distinctiveness of Option Two and judging by the twitter feedback, it was a good choice…
I can honestly say that Nadia has been an absolute joy to work with. Supportive, friendly, postive and encouraging. She has had Ian, Caroline and I in stitches throughout the process and is just as lovely off camera as she is on. I know that Ya Mutto is going to be a huge success for Nadia and I can’t wait to show you the website – give us a week or so and I’ll give you a sneak peek.

So which did she choose?! Or have I missed that somewhere? :0)
No you didn’t miss it… Full on day and in my excitement of finally being allowed to publish the post I forgot to say… She went for option 2. Will amend post slightly shortly… thanks for stopping by Claire
I love Concept Two – really strong and great colours too.
Looking forward to reading more about the website etc and seeing the jewellery – sounds like it was made for me (am clearly target customer!!!).
Nicky
Thanks Nicky. And yes, you clearly are target market: it’s a very *winter* business in colour psychology terms…
