Introducing… Our new Senior Web Developer, Stuart Lawrence

Meet Stu. This brave, brave man manages to be a force of logic and numbers in a sea of creatives.

Stu joined us on 4th January and is doing a sterling job heading up the Flourish tech team, putting numerous systems and processes in place and generally whipping us into shape! In amongst building client websites, blogs and online shops Stu has also created a wonderful content management system, oh, and deftly rebuilt our own site on said platform.

We love Stuart’s passion for great, clean code and translating the creative team’s gorgeous designs into sites that work and bring our clients more business. He’s also a complete rarity in that he manages to combine a mind-blowing level of geek-like knowledge (I live in fear of asking him how something will work lest he show me “the black screen” of code lines) with the ability to actually talk to our clients. The latter was a bonus. Not something I’d expected but something that will mean that at some point I will start dragging him out to present workshops with me For now I think he has enough on his to do list to be safe for a few months yet…

We’ll be recruiting a Junior Web Developer over the next few weeks to help us with our workload so watch this space – full details will be appearing soon…

Anyway… back to Stuart. This guy must be one of the most well balanced people I know! Aside from being a genius in his spare time (no, he really is) he writes, plays guitar in a Ska-Punk band (whatever that might be), teaches drama and drinks volumes of carbonated drinks.

So join me in welcoming another fab person to our lovely team. Hip hip, hooray!
