Isn’t it funny how most of the projects that I’ve shared with you on the blog recently have been very Winter in style? This project is certainly no exception. Voice Power are a speech recognition and digital dictation solutions business who make their clients working lives more productive, efficient and enjoyable through their expertise of voice technology. There’s no escaping the fact that whilst owners Vicky and Sonja are very personable, this is a technology business, and a fabulous one at that, so they needed a brand identity that was strong, confident and engaging.
Voice Power are innovative, approachable and expert. They offer a comprehensive solution to a complex problem, and they deliver in a professional and engaging manner. I hope that you’ll see all of this coming through in the brand identities below. Which do you respond to best?
Concept One
Strong, feminine and very clean, this concept really owns the space and reflects the two business owners well.
Concept Two
A very different feel, and one that’s much more gender neutral. I think that’s always important to be able to show a client because often what people say they want and what they respond to when they actually see it are two very different things! It’s a bit like the Location Location Location scenario – people want the moon on a stick in a house and when they actually see what they thought they wanted they realise they don’t like it
Thankfully Vicky and Sonja have been very focused on the things that they like!
Concept Three
And the winner! When I first saw them I thought that No 1 was the winner, and then by the time I scrolled down to number three I realised that here was something much stronger and more powerful. The charming coral is a much beefier colour in print so we need to work on how that will work online, and I think it would be a real shame not to use Sound Innovation from the first concept which adds that essential femininity in. But it’s all good and Caroline is just making final tweaks to the next stage which she will share with you very soon…
As always, would love your thoughts! Which do you respond best to?

Hi Fiona.
the 3 projects are great.
I like concept 3 the best. concept 1 is definitly too girly. Because this business is about technology directed to both men and women, I would not encourage a “too girly” look. Indeed men would not trust a too girly brand. Even if concept 2 is more neutral, I consider it too cute in the details.
Even if concept 3 is super clean and feminine, I do not have this girly/cute feeling. I find it very professional.
that was my 2 cts…
best,
Karine
Thank you Karine, really appreciated! Concept Three is fab isn’t it?
