Meet the Band
Website design progress for Unsung Lilly has been very exciting this week and we’re almost ready to start the build, there’s just a few tweaks to make here and there first. If you missed the last post about the band then you can catch up here.
Sera and the gang got all glammed up last week and spent a day in the smoky city with the amazing Matt Pereira to nail some killer shots for their website and launch party on the 10th October. You can find out more about the band and the launch here or book tickets here.
Matt’s brief was for the band to look relaxed, natural and cool. It was important that he captured some shots where they weren’t looking directly at the camera, giving a ‘documentary’ feel that snap-shotted them being themselves in a familiar environment and it’s fair to say he’s done a cracking job
Now the band are getting closer to deciding exactly which images they’d like to use on their site, we’ll be working our Photoshop magic on a few of them to get a rose-tinted, cross-processed effect; all adding to the relaxed look and feel. We’ll be posting about this design process and what we do with Unsung Lilly’s photos in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled!

Clean and clear. Videos will play in the spaces allowed and we’ve kept the link to download their EP so the viewer doesn’t need to leave the page.
We plan to have lots of images scrolling intermittently on this page.
Keeping it simple. What’s great about the structure of the design is that the image space can be as busy or as mellow as they like, and this page is a great example of keeping it mellow! The calls to action are clear, social media is obvious and we couldn’t resist putting in this photo!
